being a breastfeeding mother

firstly alhamdulillah and thank you sooo much for all the doa and well wishes..

alhamdullilah..its been 3 weeks now...i've been wanting to update earlier, finally only today sempat...

well its been an amazing 3 weeks so far..now i understand how all mothers feel when they say, bila baby sleep u actually miss them..

when baby is asleep i open my phone and look at his pictures from day 1...so far we've taken his picture everyday, subhanallah, in 3 weeks he has changed so much..

breastfeeding, alhamdulillah its been going well...let me tell you to all mum-to-be's, breastfeeding awal-awal tu sakit, but after like a week, then everything dah numb, it gets much easier...nobody told me that it's sakit...and it requires alot of determination...the day baby was born, he was asking for milk every half hour..dahlah i just came out from the operation theater,n sooo tired...my baby didn't give me a chance and asked for milk so frequent. and when he suck it was soo sakit...

and when the nipples crack and your baby suck it, its also sakit

day 2 he did the same thing, asked for milk every half hour...and this time my drugs is a lot less, so when my uterus was contracting while he was breastfeeding, ohh it was sakit as well...giving up almost became an option because it was just so overwhelming, n some people kept on saying oh u tak cukup susu kot..

but my family, my hubby, and the nurses all supported and gave me motivations to keep on going...esp from my mum, who reminded me that breast milk is rezeki from Allah swt, i must YAKIN that its enough for my baby, the more the baby suckle the more milk will be produce...and true enough a few days later, all started to settle down..and now alhamdulillah i'm starting to pump the extra milk..stock up alhamdulillah, of course tak byk lagi..just slowly pumping...

so my advice to everyone, DONT give up..because MashaAllah when ur susu is banyk and ur baby is well fed, its just the best feeling..

Ramai say breastfeeding babies, no need to burp...but my baby if tak burb he will be so tak senang, he will cry n cry..n sometimes muntah...but when he is well fed, n then he burps, alhamdulillah he will sleep nicely..

u know the funny part, i think breastfeeding is more overwhelming that my c-section n healing the pain n my wound..but now i'm glad i didnt give up...alhamdulillah...

InshaAllah the next entry i will write about my labour...

p/s: does anybody has any natural remedy for diaper rash??..i have been putting cream, and now better alhamdulillah, tapi i want to put something natural pulak, because i dont want to put so much chemical on my baby's skin.

Subhanallah syukur, our lil baby boy is out...

Habib Jr at day 1

he was 3.14kgs..the biggest baby among the all the cucu my side and habibs side...he came out 2 days before due date...we tried and tried, but finally c-sect was the only way to get him out..but alhamdulillah i'm just glad that he is out safely...

will update more stories soon inshaAllah...tmrw is his 1 week old check up...inshaAllah...our first time bringing him out...i'm sooo scared.....

baby oh baby

Well had my check up yesterday, 39th week check up...mashaAllah i never knew baby was going to stay this long in my tummy, because all of us siblings and all my anak sedara semua keluar by 35-38 weeks...hehehe..

Alhamdulillah baby has reached 3kgs...after the doctor scan everything, i had to do an internal check up..after that the doctor said, ok..i need to explain to you something...masa ni I was just looking at habib, i knew something  was wrong...

we sat down, and then the doctor explain, I'm still not dilated and baby is still not engaged..at all...still floating in my tummy...doctor also mention, one of the biggest reason why, is because the opening of my pelvic bone is abit small for the baby to go through, hence he is stuck floating up there, baby tak muat to get engage yet alone to deliver...that is why, even with my rather frequent braxton hicks I'm not dilated at all...because by now kalau normal person dah at least dilate 1-2cm..

and then i ask what if we induce now before the baby gets bigger, and then doctor explain that because my baby tak engage, even if induce most prop i wont dilate till 10cm pun, and chances of emergency c-sect is very high...

Doctor says we wait, because the baby is still comfy inside, amniotic fluid, placenta, growth and heart rate all normal alhamdulillah. Let nature takes its course..but by next week,  if still sama then most prob i have to go through a c-sect. Heish i never knew my big butt, actually has a small pelvic opening...

But I'm still hoping for the best...Me and habib is making loads of doa so that I can deliver naturally...but Allah SWT knows best, what ever happens within the next few days, its whats meant to happen...

next appointment is in 4 days, i guess by then if i still tak go in labour, me and habib must decide whether we nak opt for a planned c-section or not...InshaAllah, May Allah guide us to making the right decision..ameen....

Alhamdulillah I'm reaching 39 weeks in a few days...

to update about the breech situation...subhanallah, with berkat all the doa and effort, the baby actually turned at 37 weeks...masa we scan at the time, i could not believe the baby managed to turn without me feeling anything...amazing mashaAllah....and the doctor said, ohh your baby was being playful..

now alhamdulillah baby is in normal head down position, tgh menunggu masa for baby to come out..last we checked baby was about 2.7 kgs, alhamdulillah...tmrw is another check up, i cannot wait to find out baby updates...

 I also want to share what happened last night...

i started having contractions, actually I've been having timed contractions aka braxton hicks since 37 weeks sometimes malam2 it will come about every 10 mins..but of course, masa first time tu i was like omg is it time??tapi it happened so many times, i can just sleep through it....

but yesterday, it was extra intense, started at 1am, every 5 mins...and then at 2am, it became every 3 mins..me and habib monitor till 3.30am, and it was constantly every 3 mins...so we straight away packed to go to the hospital...

sampai hospital they monitored me under ctg, and midwife pun cakap, wah ni dah macam dah nak labour dah ni...alhamdulillah excited dah we all, almost 39 weeks tunggu to see the baby...

terus they check my dilation...guess what..it was 0..nothing..no dilation..so midwife inform  doctor, doctor said, its ok, send me home..

so dgn hampanya we balik..n then my contractions pun makin sikit..

sigh...FALSE ALARM....

pregnancy update....

Sorry for the long silence, it's been 3 weeks since my last update...because it's been 3 weeks since i found out that my baby yg at 32 weeks alhamdulillah dah kepala kat bawah (vertex) tiba2 at 34 weeks decided to pusing to a breech position...

Tmrw inshaAllah finally i'm going to find out the position he is in now...and whichever position he is in, i redha already, because inshaAllah i've prepared myself for it..of course kalau dapat all au-natural process would be best...also on friday we are going to see another Obgyn inshaAllah to get a 2nd opinion, just incase...

kalau breech baby ni usually ada 3 options...

1) try lahir jugak baby songsang..but most Obgyn dah tak practise this anymore because risk is too high for mummy and baby..I cannot deny from the statistics we have now, a lot more baby and mothers survive during the labour process due to modern medicine ie c-sect and epidural and etc.

2) ECV (external cephalic version)

this process is where your Obgyn tries to turn the baby, but u must be a suitable candidate to do it..sucess rate is about 60-70%...more info go here

3) or yang paling common is c-section. of course yang ni no need to go detail sebab everyone dah tahu..

last week i went to see the doctor, he did a CTG, alhamdulillah heart rate baby all mashaAllah normal... so far baby is happily kicking and playing inside my tummy..

below is some pictures i just wanted to share...actually dah a few weeks basuh all the baby bajus..heheh..everything dah ready on stand by.. most of our baby stuff we beli neutral colours, white n such because nanti senang if 2nd baby dapat girl/boy inshaAllah, senang can recycle...even big2 things like stroller, car seat, baby tub,baby bumbo semua pun we just took neutral colours...

bag pun finally at 36 weeks baru dah pack everything...i actually manage to pack all in one back( because usually I dont know how to pack light, suka bawak byk barang just incase but somebody tegur and said I'm not going holiday...hehehe...) tapi this time, muat all baju for me, habib and baby...

34 weeks....

Alhamdulillah i'm in my 34th week...

just met with the doctor today, and alhamdulillah baby around 2.3kgs...+-300grams....

tapi baby belum pusing lagi, head still kat atas and kaki kat bawah...I'm hoping, inshaAllah baby will turn soon...must make loads of doa inshaAllah...

oh btw this is my baby bump at 33 weeks....it got smaller kan?? my water retention alhamdulillah dah a lot less now...everyone stomach membesar, mine mengecil..hehehe...my face also tak buulat as bad as when i was 6 months..alhamdulillah..i"m so happy mashaAllah....

another amazing news mashaAllah...my brother's wife, just gave birth to a baby girl...I'm soooo excited..hehee...another new addition to our family alhamdulillah....
